At the end of this short article, Nielsen identifies nine ways for Web pages to be better than reality. Using as many of those nine points as you like, incorporate them into suggestions for a better Cognitive Science Web page. Pretend you can help design next year's course, how would you use these principles to do so?
2. Find a robot on the Web. Describe what it does. What kind of robot is it? Why did you chose it? Be sure and include the URL of the robot you found.
3.Why is encryption such a big deal to the U.S. government? What is key escrow? What will be required to implement key escrow?
4. Use Alta Vista's "Refine" command to search for one of the terms below. How many hits did you get for the term itself? What terms were available after you hit the "Refine" button? Which did you pick in order to refine your search? How many hits did you get after you refined your search? Refine your search again--what happened? (Use: http://www.altavista.digital.com)
